If we’re not talking “physical” gifts, my husband is a wonderful husband and father…and that is a SPECTACULAR gift to me!
However, for my first mother’s day, my husband surprised me by buying me a piano. I’ve played since I was 4 but didn’t own my own. It was pretty cool…I cried, and that doesn’t happen too much.
I have a “significant” aunt who gave me her gently used treadmill back in 2007…got me running again. GREAT gift!

The single best gift and thing my husband has done for me was buy me a “serious” camera. I had always wanted one but was afraid I wouldn’t be able to use it to it’s full capacity or that I’d find out I’m really no good at taking pictures and that it would be a waste.
The reason it was a great gift is pretty obvious – - it was exaclty what I wanted and had wanted for years. We had to sacrifice in other areas to make it happen but I’ve cherished it since. The reason it was the greatest thing he’s ever done is a little less obvious: he had more faith in me than I did. He told me, “I know you’re going to do great things with this.” I didn’t even have the confidence to say that about myself.
