I find it very hard to define between the needs and wants when it comes to things like bottled water (for an example). I don't like to drink water anyway, but I really don't like water straight from the faucet, so for me to drink water, I see bottled water as a NEED, even though I know it's not really and drinking the water from my tap won't kill me as it would in other countries! There's plenty of people in the world who would think a daily shower is great luxury, whereas if the water is off for more than a few hours, we get pretty testy. As we're always struggling to be more frugal than we are, it's a constant battle to think, "Do we REALLY need that, or would it just be really nice and convenient?"
