Corn Fed Girl (CFG), a twenties-something “girl”,  hails from a small yet charming community in the middle of the hinterlands of Iowa, surrounded by farm fields, domesticated living meat products, and people who, although a bit set in their ways and possessing a fanatical interest in the weather, are nonetheless warm, welcoming, and happy to have you over any night of the week for supper and some pie.  

When not attempting to shape and form the future generations of our society, she likes to sprint madly down the street for fun and profit (although that has yet to happen) and amuses herself regularly by attending local races and other forms of torture involving legs and sneakers. 

CFG finds herself happily enjoying her many different family members and friends and the meaningful relationships she has with each of them, all the while wondering about how she got where she is and reveling in the fact that she’s managed to make it this far without serious injury.   

She invites you to follow along as she discovers new aspects of life, revisits old ones with a renewed sense of wonder and wisdom, and attempts to extract the pure meaning of life and love in the heartland of America.
